At Studio San Designs we exclusively use recycled plastics because we wat to reduce the material footprint. These plastics have been used before as single-use plastics, for example in fruit packaging.

The material that we use the most is recycled and biobased PLA, a plastic that is made from corn starch. But we also use PET in some of our designs, for example form PET bottles or medical single-use packaging.

In our sculptures we even use a blend of plastic and 60% treefiber, which is a locally sourced byproduct from the Swedish paper industry.

Our goal is to be fully circular by means of using  only local plastics that otherwise would be disposed.
